How to find divisible numbers?

Example 1.

4 ÷ 2 = 2

2 is an integer, such that

2 * 2 = 4

hence we say that the integer 4 is exactly divisible by 2.

See Definition of divisibility in math.

Example 2.

12 ÷ 3 = 4

4 is an integer, such that

3 * 4 = 12

hence we say that the integer 12 is exactly divisible by 3.

Example 3.

45 ÷ 9 = 5

5 is an integer, such that

5 * 9 = 45

hence we say that the integer 45 is exactly divisible by nine.

Example 4.

45 ÷ 2 = 22.5

22.5 is not an integer.

hence we say that the integer 45 is not exactly divisible by two.

Example 5.

100 ÷ 5 = 20

20 is an integer, such that

20 * 5 = 100

hence we say that the integer 100 is divisible by 5.
